On the occasion of the Institut Français’ 2026 Mediterranean Season, Gare Saint Sauveur—a vibrant, family-friendly venue open to all—transforms into Gare Méditerranée, a dedicated space for cultural exchange.

Coordinated by lille3000 in collaboration with local associations, theater companies, and cultural operators, this event celebrates the diverse cultures of the Mediterranean basin. It highlights the region through a multi-disciplinary program across the iconic indoor and outdoor spaces.
This “Mediterranean Focus” aims to introduce a wide audience to the richness, diversity, and contemporary challenges of this part of the world, echoing the themes explored in the exhibition held in Halle B: Traversées (Crossings).

Curated by Olfa Feki, this exhibition features monumental works and immersive installations. These creations are the result of unique collaborations between artists from Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria and French artists from these diasporas. From both sides of the Mediterranean, these duos work hand-in-hand to create pieces that question identity, memory, territory, and migration.

Featured Artists: Aisha Snoussi & Saïd Afifi, Haythem Zakaria & Adnen el Ghali, Hela Ammar & Shourouk Rhaiem, Hallima Imane Zoubia & Arafat Sadallah, Lassaad Ben Sghaier & Nidhal Chamekh, Mouna Karray & Férielle Doulain-Zouari, Sana Chamakh & Mehdi Klibi, Wiame Haddad & Sara Kaddouri, Bruno Boudjelal & Lola Khalfa.

To launch the season, lille3000 has imagined an exceptional opening weekend from May 28 to 31, 2026, featuring concerts, performances, writing workshops, and gastronomy, in partnership with L’Aéronef, Attacafa, Le Grand Bleu, Compagnie Dyptik, and FLOW.

Starting May 15, the Mediterranean spirit will take over Gare Saint Sauveur for the entire season. Mediterranean artists from all disciplines will be featured in co-productions with major local cultural partners, including: Wazemmes l’Accordéon, Lille Piano(s) Festival, Latitudes contemporaines, les Clowns de l’espoir, Cinéphile Lille and Poetry Day. All this will take place in the joyful and welcoming atmosphere that defines the “St So” spirit!

This program is part of lille3000’s annual season at Gare Saint Sauveur, in partnership with the Institut Français, organizer of the 2026 Mediterranean Season.
